Ten more Waynesboro residents are accused of stealing utilities from the city, bringing the 2-week count to 21.

These residents, along with the 11 previously cited, will be summoned to city hall Aug. 22, to answer to the charges in municipal court. According to city administrator Jerry Coalson, the damaged meters were discovered last Friday during a "recheck" at residences where utilities had been turned off due to non-payment.

Municipal court summons were given to Sidney M. Roberson, 713 Cherry St.; Torrance Lamar Crumbley, 118 Cain St.; Evelyn Washington, 306 Larry Drive; Lisa Gates, 1105 Lodge Circle; and Shawanda Moore, 819 Burton St.

Residents who were not present during the recheck but are in the process of being charged include Thomas Lee Abrams, 434 West 8th St.; Teresa Jones, 915 Quaker Road Drive; Janice Crockett Gardner, 914 Quaker Road Court; David Houston, 104 Washington Place; and Pamela Carter, 336 Washington Drive.
