High speed chase ends in crash

A routine traffic stop in Millen turned into a high speed chase that ended in Waynesboro Tuesday afternoon. According to Georgia State Patrol (GSP) trooper Ben Forehand, Monica Delaler Price, 27, of Augusta was driving 73 mph in a 55 mph zone on Highway 25 in Millen when a Jenkins County deputy attempted to pull Price over, and she sped away. GSP trooper Mark Lamb clocked Price at 132 mph just south of Waynesboro at which time he joined the chase. Price eventually flipped her vehicle in a Highway 56 resident’s front yard in Burke County. Price and her passenger, Isaac Jerome Boykin, 20, of Hephzibah, both fled on foot but were brought down just minutes later. According to troopers, Price had a warrant out for her arrest. Price and Boykin were taken to the Burke County Jail with charges pending. Above, Georgia State trooper Lamb surveys the damage from the chase.
