Bark Camp

The annual Christmas service will be held 7 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 16, at Bark Camp Church, located off Highway 56 north of Midville.

Michael Bright will be featured in concert, and the Rev. Ray Jenkins will deliver the message. Refreshments will be served following the program.


McElmurray Tabernacle Baptist Church will have Watch Night Services 10 p.m., Friday, Dec. 31. The Rev. Charles N. Utley will be the guest evangelist.

Palmer Grove

Palmer Grove Baptist Church will have its annual Christmas fellowship 6 p.m., Friday, Dec. 17. The public is invited.

Johnson Grove Johnson Grove Baptist Church in Sylvania will hold its annual Celebration of Jesus Concert and Fellowship 7 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 23. The event will feature music by Johnson Grove Music Ministry and Pastor Brock Taylor’s Community Choir of Statesboro. A holiday reception will follow the service.

The public is invited.


The Noah Ebenezer Central Baptist Association will convene 8:30 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 18, at Phillip Grove Baptist with the Rev. Elliott Bing. The NECBA is comprised of churches from Jefferson, Emanuel, Richmond and Burke counties. The Rev. Karlton Howard serves as moderator.


Watkinsville Baptist Church Christmas Jamboree will be held 5 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 18, with special guest Voices of Praise of Augusta.

Candlelight services will be 4 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 19. Sunday school begins at 3 p.m. Women are asked to wear all white, and men are asked to wear black suits, red ties and white shirts.

New Light

New Light Baptist Church in Millen will have its final third Sunday service of the year 11:30 a.m., Sunday, Dec. 19.

Sunday school begins at 10:30 a.m.

Services will be conducted by the Rev. Antonio Bush Sr., pastor of Love Hill Baptist Church in Midville.

The public is invited to attend.

Green Branch

Green Branch Baptist Church Performing Arts Ministry “Expressions” featuring GBBC youth will present “A Christmas to Remember,” 7 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 18, at the church located at 3254 Highway 25 North in Hephzibah.

Empowerment Center

Everlasting Life Christian Empowerment Center will have its “Marriage Made Easy” workshop 7 p.m., Friday, Dec. 17, at the church, located at 409 Walker Street in Waynesboro.

Thompson Bridge

Thompson Bridge Baptist Church will host a senior appreciation service for Jessie M. Holmes, Hettie Sullivan and Louise Jones 11 a.m., Sunday, Dec. 19.

Holy Communion will be taken. The Rev. Bobby Griffin is pastor.

Conference will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 18. All members are asked to attend.

Revealing Word

Revealing Word Fellowship Ministries Church will have a Faith, Family & Finance Conference 7 p.m., Wednesday-Friday, Dec. 15-17. Guest pastors will be Barrett and Rosa Madison of Everlasting Empowerment Center in Waynesboro and Fred Turner of City of Life Ministries of Grovetown.

Pastors Carlos and Angelina Newton invite the public.
