Naomi M. Huber

Naomi Mae Driver Huber, 85, of Stuarts Draft, Va., died Aug. 22, 2011 at home of her daughter.

Mrs. Huber was born on May 23, 1926 in Augusta County and was the daughter of the late Joseph Rhodes and Elizabeth Weaver Driver. She worked as a nurse’s aide in Waynesboro, Va., and Sarasota, Fla. She later worked in the school cafeteria and was a bus driver in Burke County, Ga. Mrs. Huber was a member of the Peake Mennonite Church.

On Nov. 24, 1949, she married Ornan Huber who preceded her in death Jan. 28, 2004.

Surviving are four children, Esther Eshleman, Stuarts Draft, Va., Virgil Huber and wife Dora of Evans, Ga.; Janet Hartzler and husband Leroy of Dublin, Ga.; Norma Jean Rolin and husband Ray, Atmore, Ala.; a brother, David Driver of Stuarts Draft; 17 grandchildren; and 20 great grandchildren.

Nathan Horst, Elam Heatwole and James Goering conducted her funeral service on Friday, Aug. 26, at Pike Mennonite Church at 3p.m. Burial followed at the church cemetery. The family received friends Thursday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at the Pike Mennonite Church.
