Bypass wreck



There were no serious injuries in a Tuesday morning crash that looked much worse than it was. According to Major Larry Lewis of the Burke County Sheriff’s Office, the collision happened when a Statesboro driver ran a red light on Veterans Memorial Parkway at Highway 24 and slammed into a Toyota Camry driven by Michael McMaster of Sardis. None of the occupants, including a child in the Camry, was seriously hurt.The Georgia State Patrol is investigating the accident.
