Noah’s Ark

Noah’s Ark Baptist Church, 4466 Hwy 80 W in Keysville, will host a Choir Workshop, 7 p.m., Friday, Jan. 31 and 10:15 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 1 with special guest Sister Rebecca Mims of Thankful Baptist Church of Blythe. The church will hold its monthly Prayer Breakfast, 9 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 1. On Sunday, Feb. 2 the church will celebrate its Mission Anniversary at 11 a.m.

Pleasant Grove

Pleasant Grove Baptist Church of Hephzibah will celebrate the 23rd Anniversary of Pastor Rev. Dr. Charles Lacy Jr., 2 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 2. Special Guest are the Rev. Calvin Staley, pastor of The True Testament Church of Jesus Christ, and the Gospel Originals of Aiken, S.C..

Murphy Ebenezer

Murphy Ebenezer Baptist Church will host its Annual Men and Women Day Program, 11:30 a.m., Sunday, Feb. 2. Sis. Kastina Burton of St. Mary’s Baptist Church is the worship leader. Sis. Carol Free of Oak Grove Baptist Church and Deacon Robert Holmes of The Shepherd’s House are guest speakers.

Third Chapel

Third Chapel Baptist Church will host a Family and Friends Program, 5 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 1. Rev. Clary Dishmond and Brown Grove Baptist Church are in charge of the service.

Kelsey Chapel

Kelsey Chapel Baptist Church will have a Black History Celebration, 4 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 1. Guest speaker is Brother Reginald James of Friendly Church of God In Christ in Augusta.

William Grove

William Grove Baptist Church will host its fourth Rainbow Program at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 15.

Mt. Olive

Mt. Olive Baptist Church of Louisville will celebrate the 24th Pastoral Anniversary of Pastor and First Lady Blockum, Sunday, Feb. 9 beginning with 10:30 a.m. Sunday school and 11:30 a.m. worship service.


Rosemont Heights Baptist Church will host its monthly lunch break Bible study Tuesday, Feb. 4 at noon. Anyone is welcome to bring a sack lunch and participate in the study, which will conclude within the lunch hour. For more information, call the church office at 706- 554- 2468.

St. Michael’s

St. Michael’s Episcopal Church is hosting a Lunch- Break-Drop-in Class in the parish hall by the city park, noon-1 p.m. every Wednesday. The group is discussing the variety of spiritual expressions of faith using Richard Foster’s book, Living Streams as a springboard, though you do not need to read the book. This week’s topic is Social Justice Expression and next week’s is Angelical Expression of Spirituality. Each class is independent of the others so you can drop in, come late or leave early. Ward Grove

Ward Grove Baptist Church will celebrate with its Annual Black History Program, Sunday, Feb. 2. Sunday School will begin at 10:45 a.m. and the program will follow at 11:30 a.m. The worship leader will be Sister Isabel Harper of Thompson Bridge Baptist Church.

McElmurray Tabernacle

McElmurray Tabernacle Baptist Church of Waynesboro will hold its Annual Men & Women’s Day Program, 11 a.m., Sunday, Feb. 2. The guest evangelist will be Rev. Larry Boyd.
