Edmund Burke Academy students turned on their talents at the Spartan Rock Café to help raise funds for two big projects. Fifth grader Annabelle Jones, at left, wowed the crowd with hula-hoop tricks while 23 classmates gave performances in everything from voice and dance to piano and guitar. Including auction proceeds, the show brought in $6,000. According to Assistant Headmaster Ray Miller, who organized the event, proceeds will go toward the construction of a new concession stand/bathroom, as well as a summer mission trip to the Dominican Republic in which several students are involved.
