FRIDAY, APRIL 10

A Country/Western Dance will be hosted by the Ladies Auxiliary and Legionnaires, 9 p.m., at the American Legion on Highway 80 in Waynesboro. Free hor d’oeuvres will be served.

SUNDAY, APRIL 12

Waynesboro Toastmasters will meet, 5 p.m., at 841 Jones Avenue. Toastmasters International is designed to “empower members to achieve their full potential and realize their dreams as they find the courage to change.” Learn more at sp.d14toastmasters.org or on YouTube District 14ga.

MONDAY, APRIL 13

The Burke County Genealogical and Historical Society will meet, 6:30 p.m., at the Burke County Library. The program will feature photos and headlines from the 1953 Scrapbook called “Pardon Our Dust,” showcasing growth and progress in Waynesboro. The public is welcome.

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 22

A DOCTORDAD workshop will be held, 6-8 p.m., at Maranatha Community Church, 1124 Hwy 25 N, Waynesboro. The workshop, for new and expecting fathers, will focus on health and safety for babies and toddlers. The free program is sponsored by Enterprise Community Healthy Start in partnership with multiple Burke County groups and will also include opportunities to learn from experienced dads. FRIDAY, APRIL 24

The annual “ What on Earth!” festival will be held at the Waynesboro City Park, 5-8 p.m. The celebration is sponsored by the Waynesboro Downtown Development Authority and includes a giant science experiment show (5:30 p.m.), Boa Bash reptile show (7 p.m.), live animals and handson Earth Day activities.
