Phantom pains

A Waynesboro woman called deputies about some troubles of the supernatural sort. According to the report, $606 was missing from the book she had been reading. The victim also reported that her groceries were missing and that her dogs had been tied together in the living room. The woman told deputies that she never leaves her home and that several ghosts are responsible for the transgressions.

Deputies were called to a Girard home after a woman was hit in the leg with a car jack iron. She said the offender, 26-year-old Lamichael Sapp, hurled it at her while he was fighting with her boyfriend. Deputies contacted Sapp who admitted throwing the first punch in the fight. When asked about the car jack iron, he said, “Well you gotta do your job” and hung up. According to the report, Sapp is charged with battery. He will also face one count of cruelty to children since the assault was witnessed by a juvenile.
