What's Next?


Free diabetic teaching will be offered in the Burke Medical Center classroom, 6-8 p.m. The course is designed to help diabetics learn how to better control their diabetes through healthy eating. Participants should eat before they come and are encouraged to bring along their partners or anyone who helps with food preparation. Please enter through Emergency Room waiting area. Space is limited, and pre-registration is encouraged. Call 706.554.4435.

The Burke County High School RTI committee will hold a Parent Celebration in the media center at noon. Contact Thaddeus Shubert at 706.554.6691 for more information.


The women of St. Michael’s Episcopal Church will hold their fall bake sale 9-10:30 a.m. (until sold out) in the St. Michael’s Parish Hall, located at 515 Liberty St., Waynesboro. The sale will include goodies made from scratch, such as cakes, pies, cookies, cheese balls, shrimp balls, appetizers, soups, frozen vegetable and/or meat casseroles ready to bake, and homemade pimento cheese spread. Come early for best selections.
